Student council is a group of students who are leaders at HMS. These students help plan and conduct all student activities and rewards. Included in this group are student government officers.

PRESIDENT
Opens the meetings Calls the members to order Conducts the meetings Signs documents Represents the students at School Site Council Leads the flag salute at the 8th-grade Promotion Ceremony
VICE-PRESIDENT
Assists the President Conducts the meetings in the absence of the President Confirms all vote counts with the President Represents the students at School Site Council
SECRETARY
Keeps an accurate record of what was discussed and voted on at the meetings Signs the minutes In the absence of the President and Vice President, the Secretary will call the meeting to order and preside over it until the return of the President or Vice President Represents the students at School Site Council
TREASURER
Keeps an accurate record of the amount of money raised and spent, as well as what it was spent on Must be good in math Must be trustworthy
SERGEANT-AT-ARMS
During meetings Keeps order in a peaceful manner Informs the council on points of order
